Entry Level Welder Fabricator

This position requires the candidate execute the requirements of the work orders and project builds accordingly. Candidate must be familiar with mechanical and assembly processes. Candidate will fabricate, assemble, or disassemble products by hand using drawings, specs, and/or verbal instructions. Candidate will be required to exercise judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals Candidate should have the ability to check his/her own work. Candidate must meet deadlines and document progress. Candidate must be flexible, dependable, time conscious, and be able to move from project to project with minimal supervision. Candidate must work closely with the shop management and be able to conduct his/her day-to-day duties in a highly professional manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all of the following:

  • Experience in both MIG and TIG welding of thick and thin gauge metals (.035”-.250”) aluminum, stainless steel and steel.
  • The ability to operate hand tools.
  • The ability to operate a variety of machines in the shop. (Manual mill, Manual lathe, Drill press, Metal shear, Etc.)
  • Must have an understanding of blueprints.
  • Must possess the ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasks.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess the ability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Must possess working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements to comply with regulatory agencies.

DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must possess own basic tools appropriate to the job being performed.
  • Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • 40 hour work week with overtime paid as worked.
  • 6:30 am work start time
  • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate fixed deadlines.
  • Some travel may be required

This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident or ability to meet licensure requirements.
