Maserati MSG Racing is one of the founding teams of the FIA Formula E World Championship and in December 2013, became the first manufacturer to join motorsport’s premier fully-electric category.

As one of only a handful of constant participants since the series’ inaugural 2014/15 season, MSG Racing has moved from strength to strength and in 2021 tasted vice World Championship success with Edoardo Mortara before completing their most successful season to date in 2022 finishing the season as the teams vice World Champions.

A new dawn is on the horizon and the next chapter is about to begin as Maserati, in partnership with the Monaco Sports Group, returns to motor racing’s world stage for the first time in 60 years.

Blending its rich heritage with a bold vision of fearless innovation, Maserati MSG Racing will bring future-focused performance to Formula E, powered by the audacity to dream.

Built upon the foundations of Venturi Racing, Maserati MSG Racing brings new attitudes to defy, disrupt and redefine by fighting at the front in motorsport’s most competitive arena. With a historic record of success, the next generation is set to emerge with bright beginnings as we embark upon a new journey to electrify and excite.

Formula E is on the eve of a technical revolution in Season 9 ahead of the competitive debut of its Gen3 car – the fastest fully-electric single-seater racing car ever built.

Designed purely for competition, the Gen3 represents a key technological breakthrough for electric motorsport and is set to revolutionize the automotive industry with unprecedented levels of performance.

Producing up to 350kW of power, the Gen3 will have a top speed of 200mph and will also be the first Formula car to sport front and rear powertrains to facilitate 600kW regenerative capabilities – double that of its Gen2 predecessor.

In races, a minimum of 40 percent of all energy used will be produced by regenerative braking while, with a 95 percent efficient electric motor, the Gen3 will be the most energy-efficient racing car in the world. For Season 9, a total of six manufacturers and 11 teams will go head-to-head on the Formula E grid to drive innovation through competition.
