Vehicle Dynamics Engineer (Tyre Modelling)

The position
Williams Grand Prix Engineering is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our Vehicle Dynamics Team, developing tyre models and analysis to further our understanding and optimisation of car performance.

The role
The key purpose of the role is to develop tyre models and associated analysis tools, to work with others to integrate them into the Vehicle Dynamics simulation toolset, and to support their use in the optimisation of F1 car performance.

What good looks like
Applicants will have a good degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Previous experience in tyre modelling, simulation or vehicle dynamics would be advantageous but is not essential.

Reporting to the Tyre Science Team Leader, you will contribute to the tyre modelling and performance optimisation strategy, and assist with the identification, prioritisation and management of upgrade programmes. As a member of the Vehicle Dynamics Department, you will also support various projects across the entire team as may be required.

You will need to be able to work with an open and flexible approach whilst achieving outcomes on accuracy and quality. You will have a practical engineering background and good interpersonal skills at all levels. You will be comfortable managing others, e.g. student projects or other external collaborations to help maintain an inclusive and dynamic working environment.

The Location
The Williams Group are based in Grove, Oxfordshire. We offer free onsite parking and large open green spaces to unwind during breaks. We are five minutes from Wantage, our closest town centre.
