Job Description

Basic Description: 

Be the primary liaison and communication link between our manufacturing teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the Material and Operations team to support the Components Division.

Essential Functions: 

  • Support activities related to receiving, shipping, returns, NCNs, cycle counts, and parts delivery, setting up new parts, managing end of life parts, and updating MRD systems.
  • Participate in ITW Toolbox improvement projects. (80/20, flow principles, MRD, lean mfg. etc.)
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers on quality and delivery issues and manage the supplier performance data.
  • Work with manufacturing to meet parts requirements.
  • Work with the team to manage ECOs.
  • Order, and manage point of use inventory
  • Help to develop, new systems and processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must have an associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or related education pursuing or preferred
  • Previous materials, supply chain experience such as procurement, expediting, material storage, KanBan/MRD replenishment, and inventory control required
  • Experience in PO generation, communication with suppliers, expediting open PO’s, cycle count auditing and parts ordering is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision at times
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within the division and externally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills
  • Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to read Bill of Material (BOM), assembly drawings, and prints.
  • Strong computer skills: computer skills using D365, Omnify, SharePoint, Windows, Word, Excel, and Intranet are required
  • Ability to meet deadlines assigned
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
