Job Description

Basic Description:

Join our dynamic team at Miller as a Sales Specialist focusing on Oxy-Fuel & Gas Products. As part of a cross-functional team comprising marketing, engineering, and sales professionals, you will be instrumental in driving overall growth for the assigned product category. This role requires a deep understanding of technical concepts and manufacturing processes, as well as exceptional sales, negotiation, and customer service skills. Your primary responsibilities will include creating top-of-mind awareness, identifying, and pursuing business opportunities with end-user customers, and leveraging our partnerships to maximize sales outcomes.

What You'll Do and Impact!

  • Collaborate closely with the North American Welding Sales, Product, and Market Segment manager functions to support projects related to metal cutting & gas products.
  • Establish strong relationships with the sales team, partners, and end-users to understand the challenges within the metal cutting & gas product markets.
  • Engage in joint calls, demonstrations, and training sessions with the sales team to identify new opportunities and defend key accounts. Proactively drive product usage and services in collaboration with the team.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to key stakeholders. Actively seek out new business opportunities and participate in sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Identify and support targeted opportunities within assigned markets and/or accounts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create customer-facing content promoting the value of our training solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with both welding and non-welding professionals.
  • Monitor and understand the competitive landscape within the metal cutting & gas product markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Understand the complexities of metal cutting and gas equipment to drive improvements in messaging and customer solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum two years of sales experience.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track and manage sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Travel overnight at least 75% to meet with clients and attend industry events.
