ONE DAYTONA is located in east Central Florida at the crossroads of I-95 and I-4, across from Daytona International Speedway and just four miles from the “World’s Most Famous Beach.” We are seeking a Marketing and Business Development Manager to handle the job duties as defined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Summary

As the lead for advertising and business development efforts, the Marketing and Business Development Manager will establish plans to support events and promote tenants. The role will also be responsible for generating alternative revenue for the business unit. The Marketing and Business Development Manager reports to the business unit President and will collaborate with other roles on the Property Management team, internal clients, and external community partners. Owning the advertising, digital marketing, business development, customer experience, and campus visuals are key to the success of this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business unit President to create the center’s advertising strategy

  • Responsible for digital marketing including ONE DAYTONA website, social media, digital buys, geo-targeting, and SEO

  • Secure alternative revenue through venue rentals, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities

  • Work with the Partnership Marketing group on alternative revenue opportunities and the Founding Partner program

  • Support center events and promotes tenants through advertising and digital marketing plans

  • Manages the consumer eblast monthly email including creation of the email content and developing plans to increase the email database

  • Manages the onsite visuals including digital boards, property signage, and vacant store display program

  • Maintain center directory on the ISM screens, website, and site plans used by the property management team

  • Track advertising and digital marketing efforts and deliver a monthly recap to the business unit President

  • Handle all monthly electronic marketing communication including the tenant newsletter and ONE DAYTONA IMC building eblast

  • Supervise and provide direction to the Digital Marketing Coordinator role

  • Member of the events team helping to execute onsite events as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Coordinator role reports directly to this position.

Education and/or Experience

Required: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in marketing, advertising, journalism or business administration.

Required: Experience managing a digital marketing program

Required: Experience generating revenue through advertising and/or sponsorships sales

Preferred: Experience creating and executing advertising plans  

Preferred: Three to five years in retail and/or related shopping center experience.

Computer proficiency: Microsoft office, Adobe, Yardi (preferred)

Qualifications

Position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends (during events) and holidays.

Maintain a positive and professional relationships with coworkers.

Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.

Ability to speak in public settings, including on camera interviews or presenting to large groups.

Professional and friendly when assisting tenants or guests with problems and emergencies.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from ownership, management, tenants, clients, and customers in a timely manner.

Requires collaboration with property management staff, marketing team, and external partners, while implementing programs independently.

Ability to think like an owner, implementing the advertising and business development strategies to assist in meeting the goals for the center.

Exhibits sound understanding of marketing principles within the shopping center industry.

Exhibits effective understanding of latest technologies, including social media and demographic geo-targeting.
