Job Description

We are looking for a positive professional that has the ability to work well in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing setting. This individual will be responsible for facilitating and implementing both manufacturing and facility improvements across the division. They shall be a positive culture leader and influencer, develop employee teams, and promote a safe workplace. They must possess proven track record of driving actions that achieve results in key areas of the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Understand, maintain, and continually improve manufacturing/assembly processes as related to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery
  • Develop new and maintain existing facility/manufacturing layouts
  • Utilize the ITW Toolbox Lean tools to justify, and lead assembly automation projects from concept to deployment
  • Collaborate with operations team and be the process expert to coach/train employees on critical manufacturing processes.
  • Justify and procure capital equipment/tooling for new and existing manufacturing processes
  • Work with operations team to develop capacity and contingency plans for the division
  • Support divisional and company programs, i.e., Employee Involvement program
  • Collaborate with production personnel and management to effectively support safety related initiatives
  • Understand & assure compliance of government regulations as related to the business
  • Work closely with all engineering disciplines to ensure new product manufacturing processes are executed with employee safety, customer quality, efficiency, and on time delivery as critical considerations.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting, particularly as part of a cross functional team
  • Proven project management and facility layout skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent problem-solving capability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize projects
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lead effectively in a team-based organization
  • Strong computers skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Solid works experience is desirable
