NASCAR Event Management seeks a professional for the role of Manager, Chassis Certification. Manage all activities related to certification of chassis for all NASCAR National Series, and fulfill metrology requirements related to both the certification of chassis as well as for other R&D and Competition departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directly supervise Measurement Technicians in the Chassis Certification Department of R&D; interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ensure accuracy and precision of all measurements and inspections performed relative to chassis certifications at the R&D Center, including analyzing and assessing the measurement processes used.
Communicate with team members concerning chassis certifications.
Create and execute improvements to measurement processes in a timely fashion.
Manage chassis certification schedule.
Perform chassis measurements and inspections.
Ensure accuracy of all chassis certification databases.
Identify and implement enhancements to the chassis certification databases.
Assist in the development and refinement of chassis-related rules.
Percent of travel required: Up to 5%, including weekend travel.
