Purpose of the role

The McLaren Racing Finance graduate role aims to provide the ideal start to your finance career, by offering a rotational scheme across our finance organisation as we work together to take McLaren back to the front of the grid. This role aims to combine your passion for competitive sport alongside your desire to become a balanced and highly experienced finance professional.

Finance plays an ever-increasing role in directly contributing to our on track performance, and in support of that, we have a very close working relationship with our operational and leadership teams across our organisation. We work to deliver the right information, at the right time, to support critical decisions and ensure our financial controls complement our organisations progress.

Principal Accountabilities

The graduate role will be across 3 years and you will get the chance to gain experience and exposure across both technical accounting and controls as well as business partnering roles, in departments including:

  • F1 Race Team Operations and Engineering Business Partners
  • F1 Manufacturing & Production Business Partners
  • Formula E / Extreme E and IndyCar Business Partners
  • Financial Controls and Services
  • Financial Strategy, Planning and Analysis
  • Commercial Operations

The roles are designed to give you true visibility across McLaren Racing and provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills in the areas that most suit and interest you. During the scheme, you will gain an in depth understanding of the business, contribute towards forecasts and budgets as well as ensuring the financial targets for the relevant business units are met, through collaboration with business partners, financial analysis, and the application of financial controls.

You will also be enrolled on either the CIMA or ACCA which you will be expected to complete within the 3 year programme.
