General Summary:

This position reports to the Enterprise Applications Manager or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of the organization's enterprise-level applications.  You will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve application-related challenges. Your expertise in diagnosing and resolving application issues will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of our business operations.


Introduction:

Haas F1 Team are pursuing an ambitious digital strategy aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations and ultimately impact our on-track performance.

As part of this we are upgrading our 3DEXPERIENCE PLM system, implementing Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O ERP and fully integrating these with other key enterprise systems.

Beyond this we will be looking to further exploit the Microsoft stack and implement other cutting-edge technologies (AI, machine learning etc) where these can provide competitive advantage.

To support this journey we need to build a small but high performing Enterprise Applications team to work closely with key stakeholders (IT, Programme Management, Design Office), developers and suppliers to ensure the Teams needs are met.

 

 General Responsibilities:

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Adhere to all IT, Health & Safety and wider business processes.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Applications Manager or their designee.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1st / 2nd line user support with a focus on enterprise-level applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by end-users.
  • Document and track incidents and service requests through their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as needed.
  • Identify and diagnose application issues, coordinating with technical teams for more complex problem resolution.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively address any potential issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive internal and user facing documentation of support processes, procedures, and resolutions for future reference.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate application enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Help develop and maintain custom scripts, automation tools, reports and workflows to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance application functionality, and improve overall system efficiency.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of application patching and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve application performance, and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Help to provide cross-departmental training and knowledge transfer. 


Education and Work Experience:  

Education such as BSc or MIS in an ICT related qualification or equivalent experience required. Typically requires at least 1-2 years’ experience in an enterprise digital or business environment.  Exposure to ERP and PLM technologies, particularly in racing or automotive is desirable.

Equipment and Applications:

  • Experience of commonly used digital platforms, hardware and software.
  • Basic understanding or awareness of enterprise application suites such as ERP and PLM desirable.
  • Familiarity and understanding of business process and operational maturity.

 

Work Environment Physical Demands:

An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including some weekends.

 

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast- paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
