Digital Operations Executive (6-month FTC)

About Digital: The Digital Team, based within Marketing, focusses on three core areas; digital products, social media, and fan relationship management (FRM). In collaboration with all departments across Marketing, we’re responsible for engaging with and growing our global fanbase, while bringing our brand and partnerships to life through best-in-class content and campaigns across our channels.

Purpose of the Role: Supporting the Digital team with day-to-day and project-based operations across content, campaigns, and digital products for McLaren Racing. 

This role involves working with a breadth of stakeholders, supporting in the delivery of brand and partner digital content in line with existing partner rights, and supporting the seamless running of digital operations across the team.

Role Dimensions:

This is a temporary role within the Digital team in McLaren Racing. Some flexibility with working hours will be required to accommodate involvement with the global Formula 1 grand prix calendar and/or campaign launches.

 Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Support the day-to-day and project-based operations of the Digital team.
  • Provide support on a broad range of digital projects in line with the team’s objectives. Includes developing briefs, support resource planning, and working closely with departments across Marketing to ensure the smooth running of the Digital team.
  • Support the Digital Operations Manager to ensure our partner’s contractual rights are fulfilled.
  • Support the Digital Operations Manager in leveraging McLaren’s digital and social media channels to aid the Partnership Development team.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including McLaren IT, Procurement, and Finance to support day-to-day digital operations, including raising purchase orders.
  • Liaise with third-party digital agencies to support the maintenance and development of our digital products including the McLaren website and McLaren App.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of our McLaren Plus fan engagement programme.
  • Supporting the Race Operations and Partnerships team where we required during heavy workloads.

 Essential:

  • Previous experience working within a marketing team.
  • Previous experience of working with brands/partners to deliver content, campaigns or events, pertaining to contractual rights.
  • Previous experience working in a real-time, reactive content or event production environment.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, ensuring that projects are on-brief, on-brand, and delivered to deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a digital team.
  • Previous experience working for an agency, sports, premium or luxury brand.
