Job Description

This position is BB4 on first shift, 6am-2pm M-F. This position will perform final testing procedures on PSD products. Candidate must have the ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Essential Functions: 

Understand MRD principles, point of use inventory, and order material as needed. Follow written procedures and perform high voltage test and final test for all products. It will be necessary to cross-train and become proficient in all areas of assembly. Must have a good knowledge of engine mechanical and fuel systems, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be willing to test on all PSD product lines as needed. Know and be able to maintain and troubleshoot diesel and gas engines, and correct problems when products do not meet performance specifications. Participate in troubleshooting with engine supplier service technicians and engineers. Instruct and train assembly team members when errors are found.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed the Electronics Certificate Program, Automotive Technology program, or related field.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams along with a good knowledge of basic electricity and good mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have basic computer skills, be able to interpret schematics, bill of material and layout drawings.
  • Must be aggressive self-starter with a positive attitude and has demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Must possess very good communication skills to communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities beyond manufacturing and demonstrate employee involvement.
  • Must cross train into other areas.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and small engines is a plus.
  • Required to stand 8-12 hours as necessary for production. Required to work in exposure to noise, vibration, and engine fuels, with proper PPE as provided.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts and overtime with fluctuation in customer demand.
