Job Description

We are looking for a new Chief Engineer - Heat Exchanger Product Applications, to be pivotal in bridging the gap between advanced heat exchanger technologies and their practical application across a diverse range of industries including motorsport, aerospace, defence, fuel cell technology, net zero initiatives, and industrial energy.

The individual will ensure that products not only meet the high standards of the company but also align with customer expectations and commercial objectives. This role demands a keen focus on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness, while maintaining a customer-centric approach to technical delivery.

The role will also provide Line Management of key technical leads within the programme. As a senior Engineering Leader, the role will work to Engineering Processes and Safety standards. This role will work with other members of the Engineering Function – including other Chief Engineers and Function Heads, in order to deliver Engineering and Safety standards.

Qualifications

To be successful you'll need:

  • Proven track record in engineering management, particularly within the heat exchanger or thermal management products sector.
  • Hands-on experience in leading product development from TRL 6-9 within the relevant industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with customers for technical delivery of complex projects.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to deliver to contractual obligations concerning cost, time, and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex technical information to customers and team members.
  • Robust problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Leadership skills that inspire team confidence and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Agile and adaptable to change, with the ability to respond quickly to shifting market demands and technological advancements.
