- Laboratory Test Technician responsible for conducting performance and durability testing of automotive HVAC and cooling components.
- Test set up of automotive HVAC systems, modules, heat exchangers or sub-components such as blowers and actuators in order to perform performance measurements or durability life cycle testing.
- Understands the principles of a refrigeration cycle and the function of all the components and be proficient in diagnosing refrigerant system issues.
- Installation of instrumentation and equipment to monitor the test parameters including measurementsof temperature, pressure and flow.
- Interface with computer based electronic test systems.
- Understand and execute tests efficiently and correctly.
- Observes consistency in test data, interprets results and report irregularities to test engineer.
- Diagnose and resolve test component or bench issues, perform basic repairs and maintenance.
- Take direction from test area supervisor for daily assignments.

- College degree in a related mechanical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, experience and technical training.
- AAS Mechanical Technology or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technician
- ASE Certification desired
- EPA Section 608 Certification desired
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Effective communication skills
