About The Role

For the next phase of its evolution, InsideEVs is seeking an experienced Social Media and Audience Editor to help lead growth across multiple platforms and channels. Reporting to InsideEV’s U.S. Editor-in-Chief, this editor will be a tech-savvy journalist at heart with a keen eye for what audiences care about and how to meet them where they are.

This editor will be tasked with growing InsideEVs’ social media channels with the goal of increasing the site’s audience; experimenting with more novel platforms like Instagram and TikTok; packaging stories to run across multiple channels; scouring social media platforms for story leads; and assisting the publication’s editors with a variety of other tasks.

The Social Media and Audience Editor will help ensure InsideEVs is growing across many platforms and not dependent on just one of them, while staying ahead of the curve with new and unique ways to tell stories. They must be passionate about cars, the future of zero-emission transportation, technology and more—and equally passionate about helping new audiences to understand those topics. 

 

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will have: 

–Several years of experience managing social media accounts, ideally in the automotive space

–An understanding of the EV market and the quickly changing nature of automotive technology

–A proven track record of social media brand-building, success and growth 

–Strong news instincts and journalistic skills (though a journalism degree is not required) 

–A spirit of teamwork, a desire to outpace the competition, and a passion for informing and empowering audiences 

–Comfort working with a small but growing team in a startup-like environment

Motorsport Network is headquartered in New York and London with additional offices in 10 countries worldwide.Compensation The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $65,000 - $80,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
