We are a busy Historic Race car preparation team specialising in BMWs from the 1960s and 70s, looking to hire an experienced bodyshell fabricator/welder to work on various projects for the race shop.
Main Responsibilities
- Installing of roll cages and bodyshell modifications and re-fabrication of body panels no longer available.
- MIG and TIG welding of thin gauge steel/aluminium to high structural and aesthetic standards
- Light structural restoration and panel repair fabrication
Skills Required
- Strong Motorsport restoration experience or race car preparation
- Able to competently jig shells and weld roll cages
- Candidates must also be skilled in car restoration and metal fabrication
- Be fully competent in the use of MIG and TIG
- Be able to communicate effectively and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Willing to join the Team on race weekends across UK and Europe
- Some mechanical knowledge would be an advantage
Experience Required
- Past experience in working within an automotive bodyshop is essential.
- Excellent salary potential based upon experience.
