Engine Test Systems Engineer

As an Engine Test Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of engine test systems and associated equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain engine test systems and associated equipment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, and test procedures
  • Performs structural dynamic analysis as part of a team to provide design guidance and verify product designs to meet structural, thermal, and performance requirements.
  • Support activities associated with validated activities such as engine build, instrumentation, teardown, and test operations.
  • Provide technical direction and daily task coordination, cross-functional team leadership, troubleshooting, assembly floor, and test stand direction.
  • Assist with instrumentation management, assembly/disassembly direction, report writing, test monitoring, instrumentation, and engine hardware management.
  • Experience with engine hardware, assembly, and testing. Knowledge of engine performance, instrumentation, and test data analysis.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing customer requirements, priorities, and schedules. Opportunity to be assigned to multiple engine programs.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams including design, controls, and software engineering to ensure that engine test systems are integrated effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to engine test systems and associated equipment.
  • Collaborate with technicians and other engineers to ensure that all systems are properly installed, calibrated, and maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technologies related to engine test systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in the design, development, and maintenance of engine test systems and associated equipment
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Strong understanding of engine testing procedures and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Experience with Teamcenter
  • Experience with Engine Assembly Process, and Testing procedures.
