POSITION SUMMARY
Duties will include assembly, testing, and race-prep of shocks and related components. Will be responsible for testing shock and spring performance using shock dynamometers, and advanced spring raters. Perform engineering tasks utilizing simulation tools and laboratory testing to develop performance, including pull down rig, 7post, and various other laboratory equipment. This position will support the race teams as well as the performance and development group with interpreting and translating related data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assemble and prepare shocks with a high level of detail, in an efficient manner under critical time constraints.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.

Use shock dynamometer to test and adjust shocks to match desired performance specifications.

Utilize a database to record measurements and track component mileage for reference.

Assist race teams in identifying the best shock combinations for testing and utilization during race events.

Utilize simulation and laboratory equipment for performance development.

Support race teams through reports, data analytics, and other tasks pre, during, and post races.

Assists in the management of parts inventory relating to shocks.

Assist with collecting and interpreting data and providing recommendations.

Any other duties as assigned by manager.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required. Engineering Related Degree: Preferred
Experience: 1+ years of relevant race experience; 2+ years engineering or shock related experience: Preferred
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Roehrig Software, and other related software knowledge.
Other Requirements: Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure; High mechanical aptitude and attention to details; Shock building knowledge preferred; Extensive knowledge of engineering and mechanical principles; Ability to work a flexible schedule; Potential to travel to occasional test events; Requires a thorough understanding of mechanical components and car systems.
