Lead Design Engineer

 Main tasks

• Oversee all design projects from conception to delivery under the authority of the Engineering Design Manager
• Review Design Engineers work to ensure highest quality and improve the team performance
• Organize the workload in the Design department according to the schedule
• Follow up on technical design issues and liaise with involved teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Design approval for different projects (Customer Racing)
• Communicate and cooperate with the manufacturing entity to support and optimize the processes
• Ability to lead other team members in the Design department
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance and to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines

 Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or equivalent education
• Several years of design experience, preferentially within top-level motorsport industry
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex design solutions and leading design teams
• Strong knowledge of CATIA V5
• Knowledge of working with a PLM system (Windchill preferable)
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills at all levels
• A flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential
