Description
The Cadillac Formula 1® Team is what happens when history, purpose and daring talent come together. Backed by TWG Global and GM, our team is uniquely positioned to disrupt Formula 1®, bringing a fresh perspective and an unrelenting drive for success. We have the energy of a start-up, with the ideas and originality of a business that always wants to lead, never wants to follow.
Working in the aero group, the candidate will use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to perform simulations investigating race car performance. The results from these experiments will be used to identify potential performance gains, guide wind tunnel testing, and develop body surface specifications. The CFD engineer will help make improvements to strengthen the aerodynamic performance of the race car.
Duties:
Working with Team Penske's aero group, the candidate will play a key role in the design and performance development process by managing all aspects of full scale wind tunnel testing. This testing serves as the primary resource for defining the body specification and ensuring competitive aerodynamic performance.
