Your one-to-one career advice meeting will be an hour meeting with Ollie Walsh, founder of Pitlane Development, a former race mechanic and current automotive and motorsport engineer.
Pitlane Development are dedicated to giving individuals a strong foundation for individuals to begin their career within the motorsport industry. Our confidential sessions aim to improve both your soft skills and workplace skills. Whilst our 1-2-1 sessions are online we also focus largely on providing our clients with hands on trackside experience.
With 12 years high level motorsport experience behind us we offer industry leading advice, services and guidance to the next generation of motorsport professionals. This will help you to kickstart your motorsport careers in a way that was never previous possible.

CAN YOU GET ME WORK EXPERIENCE?
Put simply, yes! Pitlane Development have a great relationship with a number contacts throughout the motorsport and automotive world. The paddock pass is specifically designed to help anyone over the age of 16 gain trackside work experience with one of our partner teams.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE ME A JOB?
The simple answer is no. Unfortunately nothing is ever guaranteed in life. Our aim at Pitlane Development is to coach, guide and support you in the best way possible to help you start your motorsport career. We work with people on an individual basis to really understand how you work as a person.
Our Paddock & Ultimate Pass gives clients the opportunity to get their motorsport career off to the best possible start. It combines a mixtures of soft and practical skills. To learn more about our services click on the link below:
HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO DO WORK EXPERIENCE?
Due to insurance restrictions we are not able to offer trackside work experience to anyone under the age of 16 years old. We are working on a junior level package that will allow under 16’s to gain practical motorsport experience from the comfort of their home. This is due to be launched in 2024.
In the meantime, we can offer you the normal 1-2-1 service. The only difference is you will need to be with a Parent/Guardian during the Google meet call. Pitlane Development have a current and valid Advanced DBS check and are part of the UK governments annual update service.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I COMPLETE MY PURCHASE FOR A ONE-TO-ONE?
You will receive an email with information required for joining the one-to-ones, what to bring with you, and any other information you need. An email address for your personal contact will be provided in case you have any further questions. A Google meet link will be sent once the booking as been made.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I COMPLETE MY PURCHASE FOR WORK EXPERIENCE?
You will receive an email with all information and an email address for your personal contact. Someone will then contact you to make further arrangements.
DO YOU PROVIDE A VAT RECEIPT?
Yes, you will receIve a full vat receipt/invoice after completing payment.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
You can pay online securely using credit or debit card of PayPal.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY ONE-TO-ONE MEETING?
We advise that you bring a notepad and pen.
WILL SOMEONE CONTACT ME AFTER I PURCHASE MY PACKAGE?
Yes, you will receive an email with our contact details when you complete your booking and another email with a Google Meet link if you selected a one-to-one meeting. If you purchased a work experience package you will receive a separate email and phone call to discuss in more detail.
DO THE PRICES DISPLAYED INCLUDE VAT?
Yes, prices are inclusive of VAT
WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE?
The passes have the following restrictions and rules applied.
(a) 1-2-1’s must be completed within the time period set by the length of the email support. For example; the paddock pass includes 2x 1-2-1 sessions and 3 months of email support. Therefore the sessions must be completed within 3 months of purchasing the pass. If the sessions are not used in this time period they will be forfeited. This is also non refundable.
(b) Clients must complete a minimum of 1x 1-2-1 before attending either a networking event or a race weekend. If the first session has not been completed in the allotted time frame the client will receive a 50% refund.
(c) The race weekend experience that clients are assigned is based on a number of factors. This includes their current experience level, location and performance during the 1-2-1 sessions. Pitlane Development takes a zero tolerance policy towards bullying and discrimination of any kind from both the client and the partner race team. If you have any negative experience during your weekend please raise it immediately to us at info@pitlanedevelopment.co.uk.
(d) Pitlane Development will provide insurance, a risk assessment, indemnity waivers and media consent forms to the client prior to the race weekend. The last 3 must be read and signed prior to the race weekend.
(e) Pitlane Development will not cover the clients transport and accommodation costs during the weekend but will cover tickets and sustenance during the event. Pitlane Development will also provide team kit that must be returned after the event is completed.
PITLANE DEVELOPMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EVICT THE CLIENT FROM THE RACE WEEKEND IF THEY FEEL THE CLIENT IS IN BREACH OF ANY OF THE POINTS ABOVE. In this instance any outstanding activity’s on the pass will be cancelled. This is non refundable to the client.
