Position Summary: The Production Welder is capable of performing a variety of welding functions.  The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. A welder is also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as supervision deems necessary.

Qualifications required:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • At least 3-6 months welding experience

Qualifications desired:

  • Certified forklift operator
  • Aluminum Welding experience
  • Experience working in Automotive Manufacturing
  • Welding certificate

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Performs work orders as assigned by department supervisor
  • TIG welding Stainless Steel and Aluminum
  • Cuts, clips, hooks or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
  • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
  • Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Place finished goods on the designated pallet
  • Put received inventory into correct locations
  • Internal inventory cycle counts
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands to feel objects and type on keyboard or work controls.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: Work is regularly performed in a manufacturing environment as well as a shop and office environment.  The noise levels can vary from light to medium levels.
