Stability Control and Traction Management Engineer

The Chassis Engineering team are looking to recruit an Engineer to cover Electronic Stability Control & Traction Management. The successful person will be responsible for benchmarking, target setting, supplier management and delivery of cross functional project work streams. The engineer will be capable of subjective and objective assessment of vehicle dynamic performance at the limit of vehicle capabilities on both high and low friction test tracks.

Reporting to the Functional Manager for Electronic Stability Control & Traction Management, the position holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of Traction Management through the calibration of electronic actuated AWD systems and ESC system performance to meet the required project attributes. The position holder will also have an Engineering Degree or equivalent and will have evidence of formal performance driving training from a reputable provider or OEM.

Skills and experience:

  • Proven vehicle evaluation and development of Chassis attributes at an Automotive OEM or sub contract provider.
  • Demonstrable experience of project and supplier management.
  • Software Calibration and application knowledge/experience.
  • Competent in Chassis system software application tools.
  • Flexibility for significant travel (mainly Europe) is required as part of this role.
