Renault Sport Racing have an excellent opportunity to join our team at a tremendously exciting time in our history within Formula 1. As we continue to grow as a team, we are looking for a highly talented individual to join the Electronics division at Renault Sport as a Software Validation Engineer. This key position will focus on the operation and development of the highly advanced software and system test fixtures that we use to ensure reliability of the F1 car throughout the season.
Software Validation Engineer – The Role
You will be working at the forefront of technology, developing tools and processes to ensure the highest quality software/systems are delivered to the track. This includes designing enhancements to our current hardware-in-the-loop simulators, and development of automated data analysis systems to continually improve the speed and accuracy of our test systems.
Software Validation Engineer – The Person
The successful candidate will have in-depth experience with design and development of software controlled test equipment and the use of graphical modelling techniques. Familiarity of using Matlab, Simulink and DSpace is preferred, as is a knowledge of electrical control systems.
We are looking for individuals that can demonstrate technical competence as well as a collaborative, creative and proactive approach. Previous experience of motorsport is an advantage but not essential, we believe the right attitude and drive to succeed is vital to our success.
