Role Overview
Fisker Inc. is searching for a Senior Software Engineer, Digital Product Engineering, to contribute to deliverables of the Digital Product Engineering team. You will operate across the software lifecycle, from planning and architecture to development, testing and deployment. You will be responsible for developing/maintaining industry-leading consumer applications and APIs/Microservices that will enhance marketing initiatives, reservation/purchase/lease processes, and account/vehicle management.
Responsibilities

Developing, testing, and debugging new software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity

Design and Develop APIs and microservices

Collaborate effectively and closely with UX Designers, Front End and Back End Developers, Product Managers, and QA team to refine and improve the user experience

Conduct and participate in code and design reviews with other team members

Troubleshoot issues and participate in root cause analysis and post mortems
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
-
At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in software development

Proficiency with any server-side languages: TypeScript, Go, Python

Knowledge of object-oriented programming, databases, and caching
-
Experience with event-driven microservices and cloud architecture

Experience with testing frameworks

Ability to perform benchmarking and optimization

Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
Preferred Attributes/ Competencies
-
Familiarity with NestJS or other equivalent server side frameworks.

Experience within our stack: AWS, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, NestJS
Additional Requirements

Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required
