Software Engineer

SBG Sports Software develops professional tools in motorsport and football. Used in Formula 1, Formula E, the World Endurance Championship and the Premier League, our applications deliver an unrivalled blend of live data analysis and prediction, pre-event planning and post-event review. The software processes multiple video, audio and data streams, synchronizes them and provides data visualizations, helping teams to win and the organizers and officials to manage sporting events. In motorsport our customers include the FIA, Mercedes, Sauber, Porsche and BMW and in Premier League football there is Arsenal, Tottenham, Brighton, Leicester and Everton.

SBG are looking for a bright science graduate with 2-4 years’ commercial experience as a software engineer to help develop our tools and applications in motorsport. You must have good programming skills in C++.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Software Development. You will design and implement feature requests using sound software engineering practices.
  • Maintenance and Support. We expect you to fix bugs and help our support team answer technical questions.
  • Estimation. You will help project planning by providing accurate estimates for tasks. We expect you to deliver on goals in a timely manner and to provide regular progress updates.
  • Documentation. We expect you to document your code clearly and concisely as well as describing tests and aiding the production of user documentation.
