We have also developed a bustling motorsport scene where Caterham operates the UK’s largest manufacturer backed one make race series as well as the UK’s most popular novice race series where we have made over 1,000 new racing drivers. The Role

Based at Caterham’s flagship showroom in Crawley this is a junior position suitable for a responsible individual looking to build a career in the motor trade. This exciting role will cover several areas of the business including the presentation of used cars both physically and online, looking after the customer experience when hiring Sevens, and creating/planning content for our new Caterham Gatwick website and social channels.

Your main duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Ensuring a consistent flow of posts to our social channels encompassing exciting aspects of every part of our business
  • Ensuring used cars are prepared for sale promptly and to a very high standard
  • Writing accurate adverts for our vehicle stock
  • Creating videos and photography to showcase our cars and dealership
  • Keeping Caterham Gatwick website fully up to date
  • Looking after customers hiring a Seven to ensure they have an excellent experience
  • Carrying out basic checks on hire cars and arranging preparation where required to ensure they are ready for their booked hires
  • Finding new ways to continually improve how above tasks are carried out
  • Weekend showroom cover along with supporting shows and events

Essential requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Experience with DSLR’s and appropriate lighting
  • Experience with photo and video editing software
  • Understanding of how to drive engagement through content on social media channels
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Experience with Mail Chimp
  • Excellent listening, communication and organisation skills

Desirable skills

  • Good knowledge of cars including a basic mechanical understanding
  • Experience of vehicle photography

Remuneration

Annual salary of £20,000 - £24,000 dependant on skills and experience. After a probationary period there will be a range of benefits such as eligibility to join the company pension scheme, DIS, and staff purchase discounts.
