We are looking for engineers with significant experience of leading automotive power electronics design projects and/or motor control. You are highly motivated to be trained and learn new skills, allowing you to work closely with electrical machine, mechanical and control engineers in a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team. You will be working on a range of challenging projects and you are required to lead and deliver projects independently.
Typical work scope will include
- Technical lead on commercial design projects, responsible for project delivery
- Technical lead on commercial proposals
- Design and sizing of power electronic drive systems, primarily for automotive applications
- Design and implementation of motor control and I/O to vehicle control system
- Electrical system integration of power electronics and control, supplier liaison
- Component assembly and electronic prototyping to automotive standards
- HIL testing of power electronics and motor including motor control
- Fault finding and diagnostics
