We are looking for engineers with significant industrial experience in automotive electrical machine design, motor manufacturing, vehicle standards and integration. You are highly motivated to be trained and learn new skills, allowing you to work closely with mechanical and control engineers in a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team. You will be working on a range of challenging projects and you are required to lead and deliver projects independently.
Typical work scopes will include
- Technical lead on commercial design projects, responsible for project delivery
- Technical lead on commercial proposals
- Electrical machine design using 2D/3D electro-magnetic finite element analysis, primarily for automotive applications
- Design for manufacture and prototyping to automotive standards, supplier management
- Electrical machine testing and performance validation, fault finding and diagnostics
- Electrical machine cooling system design to automotive specification and integration with vehicle cooling
- Noise and vibration analysis and optimisation
