Job Summary:

The primary role of this position will be to process payments to vendors and payroll and related benefits in coordination with a payroll service organization.  This role will report directly to the senior accountant, financial statement close, and communicate regularly to human resource leadership, CAO and CFO.   Fisker will be reporting on its internal controls over financial reporting.   The role will also require familiarity with internal controls and processes over accounts payable and payroll.

Job Description:

  • Ensure all inquiries, payments & invoices are processed accurately and timely by using Bill.com.
  • Complete new vendor packets, ensuring proper supporting information is compiled.
  • Research and respond to inquiries- responding timely and professionally.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, retroactive payments, bonuses, status changes, new hires, and terminations using Paylocity.
  • Maintain a process to ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data by preparing monthly reconciliations.
  • Process garnishments, unemployment reporting, and time-off reporting.
  • Ensuring consistent and accurate GL coding.
  • Handle Account payable & payroll related month-end journal entries and accounts.
  • Participate in and contribute to the financial audit process including preparation of audit schedules related to payroll & accounts payable.
  • Process transfer of information exported into / imported from stock option service provider and ensure option information is accurately maintained on a timely basis.
  • Prepare off cycle and year-end payrolls to amended W-2 reporting.
  • Manage and administrate business registration process for new States and Localities for payroll tax accounts.
  • Prepare supporting documents and assist with 401K matters and annual audit process.
  • Partner with third-party tax service provider to ensure timely reconciliation and review of quarterly and year-end tax filings.
  • Understanding of internal controls over initiation, authorization, processing, recording and reporting of AP and payroll transactions.
  • Complete ad hoc projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years accounts payable & payroll experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience with Bill.com, Paylocity, Quickbooks, Equity Edge & ERP will be a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
