Kansas Speedway, which opened in 2001, is located in the heart of the Midwest in Kansas City, Kansas. With easy access to major highways, along with the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, restaurants, shopping and other entertainment, Kansas Speedway has easily become a destination for fans. The track hosts two NASCAR Cup Series races, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series and the ARCA Menards Series. In addition to two race weekends, Kansas Speedway hosts over 200 event days each year.
Here at the Kansas Speedway, NASCAR, and ARCA fans revel in the roar of the motors around this 1.5 mile tri-oval track and comes equipped with a state-of-the-art SAFER (steel and foam energy reduction) barrier. This barrier is the longest in the NASCAR circuit and offers impenetrable protection to fans.
NASCAR is looking for experienced event workers to join our Security Event Staff team at Kansas Speedway. Qualified individuals will be asked to work at least two weekends out of the year.
Security event staff provide visible security presence to guests and employees. Locking/unlocking doors and gates at appropriate times. Screen all persons entering ticketed and/or secure areas for valid credentials/tickets. Assist guests with questions regarding directions, information about the facility, parking, and disabled assistance. Posts are located throughout Speedway properties. Assists with moving equipment, setting up signs, barricades, and fencing in support of our events.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in excess of 8 hours at a time
- Positive attitude!
- Valid Driver’s License
These are event-based positions. Shifts and hours will vary based on our event needs.
