The Category Manager will be in charge of all tasks relating to WRC and ERC championships management. She/he will assist the Rally Director with setting out a strategic vision of those categories, in conformity with the guidelines provided by the related Commissions and its respective presidents; participate in the development and administrative management of the assigned championships, working groups and commissions and the monitoring of the budget.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribution to the strategy definition and development of the categories with which she/he is entrusted
- Management of Commissions and sporting working groups in liaison with the respective presidents and the Head of department
- Administrative and regulatory monitoring of championships

- Championship management: coordinating officials and delegates; liaising with the promoter's operational staff to monitor event organisation and facilities; ensuring a good working relationship with the relevant ASN for each event
- Official representation on WRC/ERC events, corporate events and category meetings

PROFILE:
- Significant experience in motor sport (10 to 15 years including at least 5 years in sporting management position)
- Good knowledge of Rally categories, especially WRC and ERC
- Ability to understand technical subjects / mechanisms
- Balanced and considered approach to managing issues / challenges
- High degree of sensitivity to cultural differences in the sport
- Fluency in both spoken and written English is required; a good command of French/Spanish would be a plus
