Project Engineer - Manchester

As a Rail Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and implementation of railway projects. You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of rail infrastructure development, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and achieving project objectives within established timelines and budgets. This position requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

  1. Design and Engineering:

    • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine optimal rail infrastructure solutions.
    • Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    • Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety requirements.
    • Address construction challenges and provide timely resolution to maintain project momentum.
  3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Implement quality control measures to uphold the integrity and reliability of rail infrastructure.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in railway engineering and project management, preferably in the transportation or infrastructure sector.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, STAAD.Pro).
  • Strong understanding of railway systems, track design principles, and construction techniques.
