Working as part of the Machine Shop team in Lentus Composites and reporting to the Production Manager you will contribute to the activities within the machine shop with a focus on introducing standardised good practices as we transition development parts into full production, as well as driving Continuous Improvement initiatives in the routine parts which we already have in production.
As a key member of the machine shop team you will be actively involved in the creation, development and proving out of CNC programmes, and the management of tooling databases and production of tooling and set up sheets.
Personal Characteristics:
- First class understanding of CNC machining operations in a precision manufacture environment.
- Ability to create full 5 axis programmes and successfully prove them out to efficiently produce consistently accurate parts.
- Good knowledge of tooling selection and applications for Metallic and Composite machining.
- Computer literate in MS Word, Excel
- Enthusiastic with a can do attitude.
