Powertrain Support Engineer

 Main tasks

  • Show responsibility for the powertrain management system strategies and calibration preparation prior to events and tests
  • Prepare the powertrain specific test plans and follow up during tests
  • Monitor engine, gearbox and hybrid data during tests and events (fire ups, roll-outs, tests)
  • Report after tests and events, including testing results, calibration, problems
  • Liaise with the rest of the event team, including engineers and drivers for all that is powertrain related
  • Be a source of proposals for technical problems solving and performance improvements within the engine group
  • Support engine / hybrid dyno calibration activities when needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
  • Familiarity with projects and work in a motorsport environment
  • Previous relevant experience in engine calibration and engine fundamentals is essential
  • Fluent English both written and spoken is mandatory
  • Knowledge of Engine Management Systems and data analysis (Marelli or equivalent)
  • You complete tasks with minimal guidance and work under pressure to meet deadlines
