Purpose of Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, motivated individual to join our Bespoke paint team. Experience working on prestige vehicles essential. The successful applicant will be expected to work in all areas of the bespoke paint process on all models/ projects ranging from road car restorations, production series projects, bespoke commissions, and future model concepts.
Principal Accountabilities
- Understand and follow detailed work instructions relating to the painting of vehicles
- Ensure that all station operations on each vehicle are completed to the required quality standard
- Ensure that all operations are completed to the required timescale
- Work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the vehicles being produced
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested
- Understand and adhere to the McLaren Values and help grow the Automotive Brand.
- Preparing vehicles/ panels for paintwork.
- Masking vehicles in preparation for paintwork.
- Carrying out minor damage repairs
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment
- Clean and check cars prior to primer process for visible defects.
- Ensuring that you always follow safety procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience of working within an automotive environment would be an advantage.
- Prior experience of working as part of a team is desirable
- Prior experience of working to timescales would be advantageous
- Prior experience of Quality focused with meticulous attention to detail is an advantage.
- Ability to follow processes set in place
- Previous experience in Preparing vehicles/ panels for paintwork would be an advantage
- Prior experience in Masking vehicles in preparation for paintwork is desired
- Prior experience in Carrying out minor damage repairs would be an advantage
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment
- Clean and check cars prior to primer process for visible defects.
