Operations Purchasing Controller

Responsible for the financial reporting and control for operations and providing support to the operations team to ensure they are operating within agreed budgets. Reporting to the Operations Controller and working directly with the Operations (Production) team.

The requirements of the role will evolve with the post holder giving the perfect opportunity to settle in to Lotus and learn systems and processes at the start. As the business requirements change through growth opportunities the role will become a lot more challenging and fit with career development potential. A key element of the new ten year plan at Lotus is improved manufacturing reporting and efficiency.

Key deliverables are:

  • Analyse and monitor the reporting of the BOM reductions claimed by Purchasing against the 2019 deliverable both current cars and future cars.
  • Challenge and critique spend via electronic requisition; once satisfied check to budget and allocate accounts coding.
  • Supporting the control of vehicle parts and annual review to senior management prior to approval of revision.
  • Assist in ensuring all parts have a fully released and agreed standard cost.
  • Understanding the cost base of the LLS (Lotus Lightweight Structures) operation, BOM parts supplied internally to Lotus.
  • Control and monitor the operational performance of parts supplier from LLS and Vulcan Road (Fabrication factory) to Lotus cars.
  • Support Lotus Vulcan Road operation to ensure the site operates with efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting.
  • General financial month end tasks and administration.
