No 2 Mechanic

We are building something special at Alpine.

 

We are looking to add to our excellent team with individuals who are motivated to significantly contribute to our relentless pursuit of excellence – and ultimately a championship contending team.

We have a position within our team as a No 2 Mechanic.  This position will be within our Race Support Team based in Enstone however this is a travelling role which will attend all of the RST calendar events.

 

No 2 Mechanic – The Role

Reporting to the Chief Mechanic, this role will work within a team of mechanics to support test and show car events throughout the whole RST calendar.

Key accountabilities are:

  • Build, maintain and service the Race Support Team F1 cars whilst working to various build procedures and build manuals.
  • Working to tight timelines while at RST events/tests/factory builds.
  • Keeping a record of all car part life numbers for each event (Working to supplied life build sheets)
  • Attend/support the race team at various F1 tests and Grand Prix.
  • Assist in Building the Race support team garage set up at the events.
  • Pit equipment repair, manufacture (Fabricate if possible)
  • New equipment ideas.
  • To assist with the maintenance and service of the race support team pit equipment.
  • To work in and maintain a clean and tidy working environment whilst at Enstone and events.

 

 

No 2 Mechanic – The Person 

 The successful candidate must possess the following attributes:

  • Be self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Can demonstrate a methodical approach to work, with very good attention to detail
  • Can prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to both hours and job description
  • Become a dependable team player who can interact and communicate with other departments, as well as work independently when required
