Role Overview 

We’re looking for a Merchandise Specialist to join our growing team of creative visionaries. The Merchandise Specialist will help in sourcing and curating our company's products and promotional material. This includes developing robust internal processes that integrate with our 3PL provider, forecasting inventory demands and trends, and ensuring products are delivered on time and efficiently to the 3PL. You’ll have the task of keeping track of Fisker merchandise inventory, online sales, and work closely with our third-party logistics, shipping, handling and warehousing company. Our ideal candidate is inspired by our brand pillars: sustainability, design, and technology. This candidate is organized, data driven, and will be able to keep track of inventory, work closely with our 3PL in making sure daily shipments are going out, everything merchandise related is in check and that there is a process set in place to track all things merchandise – sales, inventory, 3PL, shipments, etc. 

You’ll collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams including design departments, marketing, merchandise buyer, creative team, finance/accounting team as well as external suppliers/vendors. You’re able to put a process in place and track merchandise coming in and out of the company. 

The role is based in Manhattan Beach, CA. 

What you will do:  

  • Develop and oversee merchandise workflow processes with the 3PL provider, forecast inventory demands and trends, track sales & inventory, ensure. 
  • Help curate our company's products and promotional material 
  • Responsible for inventory tracking (inventory purchased and sold by Fisker) 
  • Working on Shopify account – tracking sales, inputting inventory, creating UPC codes, returns, refunds 
  • Tracking inventory movement and systematically introducing promotions, sales, price changes, etc. 
  • Work with our Third-Party Logistics(3PL) company daily 
  • Track and oversee the shipments that come in from our vendors arriving at our 3PL 
  • Ensuring all vendors abide by our rules and agreed contracts  
  • Ensuring our 3PL abide by our rules and agreed contract  
  • Establish processes to track incoming and outgoing inventory  
  • Work closely with suppliers and manage the inventory of items purchased from start to finish 
  • Work closely with 3PL and oversee shipments are going out within the time frame agreed on part of contract, purchases being made from customers transaction is smooth (returns, refunds) 
  • Organize professional weekly and daily meetings/touch bases with internal team, 3PL, & vendors 

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience 

  • Minimum 3 years in Merchandise industry 
  • BS, BFA, MS or MFA in merchandise, product
  • Passion for developing and adhering to merchandise workflows 
  • Knowledge of process implementation, inventory structure and tracking, current fashion, product design trends and technology, exposure to merchandise inventory tracking 
  • Forward, innovative thinking, organized 
  • Understanding of working with a 3PL 
  • Knows how to use Shopify and has used Shopify 
  • Excellent understanding of tracking inventory, setting up processes, excel spreadsheets, general development processes, timing and product cycles 
  • Experience working in cross-departmental teams and wearing several hats in the work environment  
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, project management and presentational skills 
  • Professional, motivated and proactive working attitude 
  • Must be creative and detail-orientated 
  • You communicate fluently in English  
  • You have a strong sense of ownership  
  • Ability to travel, show passion and dedication to learn and integrate into a modern flexible work schedule. 
  • Proficient PC or Mac skills - current Office 365: Word, PPT, Excel and MS Project software knowledge
