Mercedes HPP are seeking a Materials Engineer to join our world championship winning team. You’ll be our technical specialist for fundamental material science knowledge and material engineering, leading forensic investigation into failed components, and providing expert guidance to our Engineering and Operations functions regarding material selection and production techniques. Simultaneously, you’ll research and develop new materials that will offer a benefit to the Power Unit.

We’ll need this person to:
- Provide advice and guidance to design services on composite materials
- Support manufacturing and quality departments on material and process issues including liaison with external suppliers
- Produce and develop materials specifications and quality standards
- Provide advice on sourcing and selection of external suppliers
- Identify and conduct relevant research and development activities focussed on improving materials, techniques and processes to improve the Power Unit

Materials Degree with 2:1 classification or above.
