Are you an experienced Materials Planning, Bill of Materials and Stores Supervisor seeking a new role within a truly innovative technology manufacturer?

We are seeking a Materials and Planning Supervisor to lead our Stores, Planning and BOM teams. Someone who can drive and develop material planning, BOM creation and maintenance and the efficient and accurate storage of components and materials which are so vital to sustaining a successful manufacturing process.

Our Materials and Planning Supervisor will:

  • Provide timely and accurate issuing of components against build requirements and works orders
  • Lead the BOM & planning team in creating accurate Manufacturing BOMs in our MRP system and plan demand accordingly to satisfy customer requirements
  • Monitor available resources, escalating any potential risks to deadlines to Project Managers
  • Assist the Materials Manager in developing and delivering a robust stocking policy
  • Support the introduction and ongoing maintenance of a new/upgraded MRP system, becoming the “Super User” for the team and support user training
  • Develop continuous improvement and development initiatives within the stores facility
  • Support all stock movement transactions
  • Lead stock counts through planning, preparation and completion phases

About our Materials and Planning Supervisor:

  • Strong experience of leading Planning, Stores and Logistics functions in an precision engineering environment
  • Good understanding of structuring Bills of Materials (BOM) and component set ups
  • Ability to recognise components using part numbering, drawings and descriptions
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external parties
  • Excellent knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, preferably Sage 200 Manufacturing
  • Capable of building and developing a high performing, multi-disciplined team
