Marketing Coordinator

Position Purpose/Overview

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day presentation of email communications with ISM Raceway (ISMR) consumers, as well as the front end production of at-venue televisions screens on event weekend. This person requires excellent writing and creative skills, the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and can easily collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. 


  • Work closely with the members of the ISMR marketing team to create a comprehensive marketing strategy and identify KPIs to accomplish ISMR’s objectives of ticket sales, lead generation, engagement and sponsorship fulfillment, including web site content and email campaign schedules;
  • Collaborate with the Digital Content Manager to develop and execute strategic cross-channel content campaigns including web site, email, social media and mobile app; 
  • Support the Digital Content Manager in updating and refreshing the website with new content and creative to create web pages in a compelling, visually pleasing and easy-to-navigate format; 
  • Monitor digital analytics and research to gather information and compile statistics pertinent to planning and execution of digital campaigns. Leverage web analytics to establish benchmarks and report on campaigns and make recommendations for future campaigns (including web site visits, visitors and page views and email open, CTR and sales); 
  • Develop and execute CRM campaigns to address customer retention, emerging markets (youth, college, multicultural) and cross-selling opportunities;
  • Lead and execute ISM Raceway’s marketing and on-site activation initiatives focused on premium experiences, retention and lead generation, driving awareness of and interest in ISM Raceway that will ultimately drive ticket sales;
  • Act as the point person for the annual season ticket holder program and manage the implementation during event weekends with support from the ISMR Ticketing & Sales teams; 
  • Manage the digital signage schedule of content for 400+ television screens located throughout the venue, working with various stakeholders to ensure proper execution of their individual production needs, including sponsorship deliverables, digital menus, ticket sales, wayfinding and emergency management messaging;
  • Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all marketing materials, ensuring that all content adheres to the overall ISMR content/event marketing strategy, messaging, tone and style; 
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with all ISMR team members and key external and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the ISMR brand through all communication channels;
  • Protect, enhance and grow the ISM Raceway brand;
  • Seek out and implement best practices in the marketing space;

  • Meet and/or exceed ticket budget numbers
  • Annual email metric growth
  • Increased percentage of renewal and retention customers
  • Acquisition of new customers/fan development

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 1-3 years relevant experience; agency or sports property experience is a plus
