Marketing Assistant

Lydden Hill Race Circuit are looking for a new recruit to join the expanding team in 2024, the marketing assistant position will be a full-time role in the office here at the circuit and will be joining a tight-knit team that together deliver spectacular motorsport events all year long. The duties of the marketing assistant will include but are not limited to;

  • Managing our social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X using a social media calendar to put out regular content.
  • Creation of basic content including reels and simple graphics.
  • Managing the use of content from our freelance photographers, designers and videographers for our larger events and assisting with the 5 Nations Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship team where required.
  • Managing the website ensuring it is kept up to date with SEO optimised content across all pages.
  • Creation of written content for the website and ticketing pages when required.
  • Managing the booking of paid marketing activities and supplying artwork within deadlines.
  • Assisting with the creation of race programmes.
  • Managing our customer database and sending out regular content via Mailchimp, our ticketing system and entry system.
  • Working on events to create content and keep the social channels up to date with event information. This may involve attending events at other circuits with the 5 Nations British Rallycross championship.
  • Providing content to our partners and sponsors as required.

Office hours are 09:00 - 17:00 with weekend hours varying.

Strong skills using digital tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Meta business manager, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and WordPress are required. An interest in motorsport is a bonus, but not essential. A successful candidate would be working within a small team, be passionate about the development of the circuit and able to work weekends.

Lydden Hill runs a broad range of events at the circuit, from public track days to large spectator race events, private tests, filming or corporate days.
You would be joining the circuit at an exciting time of development, planning permission has been granted that will expand and modernise not only the physical facilities of the site, but also the range of events that can held.

Construction has already started on our shiny new access road due to be completed March 2024 which will completely overhaul how to enter the circuit, once this project is complete this will trigger a daisy-chain of development according to our planning permission with the final step being a fancy new pavilion that will house garages, office space, function room, bar, catering and more.
