About this Position:

As a Market Quality Engineer, you are able to review market complaints caused by possible manufacturing issues, while expanding the breadth of your technical knowledge and expertise. You will be responsible for promoting the voice of the customer to the factory to improve vehicle quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct analysis of warranty claims and other customer complaints consisting of FQRs, tech lines, and surveys. Use data insights to guide the evaluation, and root cause analysis of vehicles, under the guidance of more senior engineers. Further engage with reporting results, and gaining consensus from other manufacturing departments as to root cause of problem.

• Investigate, and help develop or propose countermeasures to resolve factory related issues impacting both the product and customer. These issues are related to problems caused by the factory and/or have some factory influence. Track the progress and success or failures of countermeasures.

• Generate technical reports and problem summaries. Share findings and report information at plant/department meetings.

• Yard audit support: This involves scheduling, identifying and scanning eligible units, recording problem details including problem description and clear images. In addition, provide input at the consensus meeting immediately following the audit. This involves discussions among other departments to gain agreement on scores and containment.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

• 0-6 years' dependent upon education level

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant work experience

Desired skills:

• Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, positive attitude

• Mechanical aptitude to remove/ install automotive components

• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint) and reporting

• Ability to work well with manufacturing departments in a manufacturing environment

Additional Position Factors:

• Average of 0-2 hours OT per day, weekend work as needed.

• Ability to travel as needed, domestic and international.

• Flexibility in work hours and daily job function

• Incorporate Honda Philosophy in daily interaction with all associates and promote teamwork

• Ability to work outside as needed
