Role Overview

The Manager, HR is responsible for the management of all Human Resources and operations related functions including but not limited to strategic planning, recruitment, retention, onboarding, employee relations, compensation & benefits, talent management, payroll, policies & procedures development, legal compliance and regulations, HRIS administration, employee events, budgeting etc. Must stay current with changing legal and regulatory issues as they relate to all human resources issues.  Consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Fisker, develop and support a high-performance work culture that attracts, engages, develops, and retains employees committed to advancing Fisker’s brand value. Lead organizational development and talent management efforts to maximize diversity, equity and inclusion and the long-term sustainability of Fisker.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise and implement successful and efficient recruiting and HR management processes designed to help Fisker scale 

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions; collaborates with Fisker leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openings

  • Foster a workplace that centers diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

  • Proactively build talent pipelines and establish comprehensive sourcing plans for both hard-to-fill positions and overall teams

  • Administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; and training and development

  • Develops progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance.

  • Partner with internal and external counsel to administer contracts and ensure proper onboarding for all team members 

  • Partner across HR on important initiatives such as orientation and performance management 

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention

  • Directs the interpretation and application of established human resources policies, procedures, plans and programs and recommends improvement where appropriate

  • Supports and drives cultural change

  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance

  • Manage and oversee all new hire onboarding and orientation

  • Keeps abreast of changes affecting human resources and assumes an active leadership and advocacy role within the field

  • Develops human resources procedures, and workflows and oversees their implementation

  • Oversees the School's performance management process, including the review and improvement of performance management tools

  • Maintains confidentiality of both current and former employees and their records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, industrial relations, business management, or related field

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional level HR experience

  • Master’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, or related field preferred
