Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone CIMA/ACCA/ACA part qualified looking to progress their career within a fast-paced and dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical ability backed up with sound commercial awareness and be looking to join a business where they will be challenged and will be able to get involved in all areas of finance. You will be an experienced self-starter with a get-up and go attitude. You will be extremely analytical and strive for nothing less than perfection.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts and entity level management accounts (and ad-hoc support with board pack analysis).
  • Completion of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Ownership of Fixed Asset Register – updating for additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Delivery of accruals and prepayments listings and supporting documentation.
  • Set up and completion of monthly intercompany reconciliation process.
  • Journal posting in support of timely month end close.
  • Key support for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ensuring timely completion of tasks (including payment gateway reconciliations).
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and providing recommendations for payment.
  • Set up of payments on the bank for approval.
  • Support in the preparation of short-term cashflow forecast.
  • Expense analysis and reporting as required.
  • Support in monthly financial review of China-based manufacturing entity. Including liaising with China-based employees/finance team.

Requirements

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Are studying towards a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • May be looking to make a move out of practice into industry.
  • May have experience using an ERP system (ideally NetSuite) or a stand-alone complex financial system with WMS and eCommerce integration.
  • May have experience of eCommerce / D2C businesses.
  • May have experience of Chinese manufacturing business and supply.
  • Mandarin / Cantonese language skills would be a distinct advantage.

  • Are self-motivated with a desire to always achieve high standards.
  • Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Have sound judgement and the ability to make good decisions.
  • Have strong IT, numerical problem-solving skills and are highly proficient with Excel (& PowerBI).
  • Are an organised worker with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads.
  • Have a keen desire to learn and master new skills.
