Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role)
Work together with chief engineer HMI, responsible for design and developing the Lotus sports car human machine interactions. Since you are digital designer, you also need setup the plan and process to make sure HMI related requirements will be delivered. In the mean time work with the engineering team, design team, marketing and other teams in order to deliver not only a well functioning system, but also a world leading fantastic user experience.
- Work closely with the chief engineer HMI, managers and PMO to drive daily work.
- Analyse the brand value of Lotus and apply it to digital design and user experience.
- Analyse and create human machine interaction and digital design requirements, definitions and processes with project, market, design, engineering.
- Design the flow, graphic and interaction method on how to use the vehicle system.
- Provide necessary input on system design, component design and other engineering team for get the best use experience.
- Assess needs and take initiative to determine activity and design.
- Guide and facilitate project objectives.
- Setup evaluation environment to let target customer can clinic on the system to see how it is before full implementation.
- Involve respective departments, engineers and suppliers in key decisions to create greater accountability.
- Work to eliminate impediments to the project’s success.
- Own the HMI design daily work.
- Coordinate and manage external suppliers and supplier activities related to the projects
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and experience in interaction design and/or industrial design.
- Experience in-HMI Strategy; HMI SCRUM master; Industrial designer; Interaction designer.
- Experience with- Industrial design; Interaction design; Team leader skills; Photoshop.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding Interaction/graphic design leader or UX design leader or UX SCRUM master or Supplier interaction design leader.
