Hennessey Performance’s Tuner School, the World’s only automotive technical school dedicated to teaching car enthusiasts how to modify and tune cars, sports cars and race cars, seeks an experienced Director of Admissions.
We are seeking a candidate with experience to accomplish the following:
- Hands on approach to leadership, management and teambuilding that gets results to build and implement a system for recruiting passionate and motivated students into our Tuner School.
- Action oriented with an ability to communicate effectively and create a strategic network of contacts that will continually grow the school’s enrollment through external outreach to high schools, other tech schools, etc.
- Manage and oversee the curriculum of Tuner School with the program instructors.
- Build a budget including enrollment projections and target steps for achieving long- and short-term goals.
- Develop and execute events – college fairs, workshops, after-school, summer and weekend programs to attract prospective students.
- Collaborate and solve problems, works with others to resolve problems.
- Work complexity/Independent Judgment – Strong analytic ability and inductive thinking are frequently required to situations where previously accepted solutions have proven inadequate. Supervision received typically consists of providing periodic coaching, advice and feedback.
- Customer relations – regularly assesses customer issues, regularly explores alternative and creative solutions to meeting the needs of the customer.
Work experience may include:
- 3-5 years in an academic setting
- Automotive trade school admissions
- Automotive aftermarket industry
- Must have a lifelong passion for cars, racing and automotive knowledge sufficient to build a passion in others.
