Hydraulics Technician

A vacancy has arisen for a Hydraulics Technician reporting to the No.1 Mechanic.

 

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the preparation build service and test of Hydraulic assemblies for Race Test and Dyno.

 

Key Accountabilities / Duties include:

  • Responsible for building safety-critical hydraulic manifolds and systems, ensuring that all of the procedures and quality checks are followed.

  • Use SAP to create build sheets and ensure assembled components have enough mileage to complete an event.

  • Complete servicing of hydraulic assemblies and sub-assemblies.

  • Servicing, fitting and maintenance of clutches and clutch actuators.

  • Manage, in conjunction with other team members, spares, lifting and servicing of car parts.

  • Carry out other similar skilled duties as and when required including cross over with engine dressing and gearbox related tasks.

  • Responsible for keeping a clean and tidy working environment in all test areas within Mercedes GP Operations Centre.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of three years F1 Hydraulics experience factory based or trackside.

  • Training in hydraulics build and maintenance required.

  • Confidence to work unsupervised.

  • SAP experience an advantage.

  • Atlas and System monitor experience beneficial.
