Hydraulic Technician

The position:

We are looking to recruit Hydraulics Technician to join our team.

The role:

Reporting to the Component Assembly team leader, the individual’s primary role will be to provide competent and knowledgeable build capability of all hydraulic systems.  Although primarily a factory-based position, trackside & event attendance would be required at a number of events throughout the year.

Core competencies:

Build capability of all hydraulic systems including –

Assembly of transmission hydraulic control circuit sub-assemblies
Assembly of clutch actuator assemblies, alongside braking and suspension systems.
Assembly, strip, servicing and sign off testing of current and relevant F1 hydraulic sub-assemblies including transmission control circuit sub-assemblies and clutch actuators.

The successful candidate will also be expected to gain knowledge of additional related car systems and assemblies to enable an enhanced service to be provided at any given event. Whilst attending these events, you will be expected to support additional activities as directed by the relevant line manager at the event, such as car assembly / strip and garage area build and strip down.

Ideal credentials:

The candidate will have the ability to work well under pressure, have an interest in working with data and have a flexible approach to working hours, which is central to this role. The role will encompass working with multiple departments both within the production team and the broader business areas. You will be expected to ensure cohesion and continuity throughout.

With a view to continued improvements, the successful candidate will be capable of identifying ways to improve the department and personnel performance, actively enforce the company’s health and Safety policy and maintain a high standard of personal and department presentation.

*In compliance with national Secure Freight Consigner conditions, five years’ continuous employment, education and/or training must be evidenced and ay gaps exceeding 28 days accounted for.  A criminal record check will also be carried out.  This will be explained in more detail during interview.
